Yellowstone stars Hassie Harrison and Brandon Sklenar will finally share the screen in upcoming Western thriller, The Rescue.

Despite both performers playing major characters in the television phenomenon created by Taylor Sheridan, their characters are separated by an entire century.

Harrison is best known for portraying rodeo girl Laramie in the mainline drama, while breakout star Sklenar plays Spencer Dutton in the popular prequel series, 1923.

They have both gone on to land successful roles in other recent projects, including Harrison leading the acclaimed thriller film Dangerous Animals and Sklenar joining major films such as Drop and The Housemaid.

Details about their new project together are currently under wraps after Deadline reported that Harrison will be joining the Sklenar-led Western thriller The Rescue last week.

However, it has been confirmed the film will follow a rodeo cowboy in the modern day whose skills are put to the test outside the arena.

The director of Old Henry, Potsy Ponciroli, is helming the flick, which is written by John Fusco.

Reports also confirm that the film plans to go into production this coming summer.

It has reportedly been a high priority title since initially being developed by Skydance before merging with Paramount. The Rescue is now one of the first films greenlit by the newly formed studio regime.

Harrison is next set to appear in the upcoming thriller Raven which also stars Anthony Mackie, Pablo Schreiber, Ben Foster, and Ron Livingston.

It’s currently unknown if she’ll be returning to the world of Yellowstone, which is set to expand with a number of spin-offs and sequel series.

Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser will be reprising their roles as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, respectively, in the upcoming follow-up tentatively titled The Dutton Ranch.

Plus, the story of a different ranching family will be told in another spin-off currently in the works, The Madison, which will star Michelle Pfeiffer, Suits’ Patrick J. Adams and Kurt Russell.

Meanwhile, actor Sklenar is next set to star in the Sheridan-penned military thriller F.A.S.T., which will see him portray a former special forces commando recruited by the DEA to lead a raid on a major drug dealer.

The cast also includes Juliana Canfield, LaKeith Stanfield, Jason Clarke, Sam Claflin, and Trevante Rhodes and will be directed by Ben Richardson, who has helmed several episodes of Sheridan-created dramas.

Yellowstone is available to stream on Paramount+.
