A woman has been left feeling sick to her stomach after watching how a plane passenger made themselves comfortable mid-flight.
She described how she was travelling on holiday with her partner when she spotted someone making themselves at home on the public aircraft.
Glancing to her right, she observed the passenger using the fold-down tray table as a foot rest, with their body curled up in the seat.
Posting on Reddit to condemn this behaviour, she said: « People should be put on the do not fly list for this. My spouse thinks I’m silly for wiping down the tray tables as soon as I sit.
« Seriously, what the f*** is with people thinking everywhere in public is their living room? This was not the only annoying thing she did, but it was certainly the worst. »

Equally revolted, one user said: « And people look at me weird when I pull out wipes before I sit down on a plane.
« People are disgusting. This is probably the mildest thing I’ve seen over my many flights.
« Anticipate on a plane that approximately 25 per cent of people do not wash their hands at all, and many don’t wash them thoroughly enough.
« I never touch an inflight entertainment screen before wiping it down and I bring sanitiser with me to every bathroom trip. »
On any aircraft, passengers are advised to speak to cabin crew if another traveller’s conduct is causing them distress rather than attempting to resolve it themselves. Another user chimed in: « Common sense and common decency is a thing of the past.
« So many people have become self-absorbed and care little about those around them.
« Last time at an airport, I had people around me playing music on their speakers and others talking on the phone with the speaker all for everyone to hear.
« People talking really loud and swearing every other word while kids are right by them. Airports are becoming a zoo. »
A third user expressed: « Every time I encounter folks like this they are short haul flights. They can’t be a little uncomfortable for two to three hours. It blows my mind. »
One more user added: « Please tell me a flight attendant noticed and asked them to put their feet down. It’s not only gross, but dangerous.
« If sudden severe turbulence happened, you could smack your feet into the back of the chair and then the tray, potentially snapping the tray off and getting impaled on its metal extenders. »
