White Stuff shoppers are snapping up a padded coat and calling it the perfect balance between warmth and wearability. Now, the Elyse Hooded Quilted Coat in Blue Multi has been slashed to £125 from £160, reducing it by £35 on the website.
The coat has been praised for keeping the cold out without feeling too bulky or restrictive, making it an easy choice for everyday winter dressing. It comes in sizes 6 to 24, but it is currently out of stock in sizes 8 and 10.
The relaxed fit and clean, practical design mean it works just as well for commuting and errands as it does for weekend walks when the weather turns. The quilted coat features a cosy hood and ribbed cuffs designed to lock in warmth and keep chilly winds at bay, while the recycled wadding offers insulation without adding unnecessary weight.
Made entirely from recycled polyester, including the lining and wadding, it is machine washable and easy to care for. If this isn’t the one for everyone, however, there is also a slightly more expensive option with the Mink Longline Padded Puffer Coat for £51.59 from New Look, down from £85.99.
This comes in the sizes 6 to 22, has a relaxed fit and has two side slip pockets. M&S also has its Feather & Down Hooded Duvet Cover for £100, which is available in both black and olive.
This one comes in sizes 6 to 24 and customers say it ‘fits true to size’. The Elyse Hooded Quilted Coat has been rated highly on the White Stuff website, however.

Zipped up beautifully and it’s so warm without being too heavy on my shoulders and neck as I have arthritis. I noticed straight away that the model was a mature lady and thought if she looks good in it then I will. Good call. »
