Shoppers say Jones Road Mascara is the ‘best’

You might have heard of Jones Road, founded by makeup expert Bobbi Brown, for its barely there « no makeup makeup » look. I’ve already had countless recommendations for its Miracle Balm (one of the brand’s best-selling face products), but recently, another product has made its way onto my radar.

The brand’s simply named The Mascara won’t break the bank at £26 but has received rave reviews from shoppers who describe it as a « luxury » product.

One shopper explained: « I am a mascara snob. In my experience, no mascara is good enough—until now! This mascara is far and away the best mascara ever. It lengthens, thickens, and is luxurious—the best ever! »

Now, £26 isn’t the cheapest mascara out there. You can get a decent high-street Maybelline mascara for around £10 from Boots. But, the Jones Road mascara is a fairly comparable price to competitors like Merit (£23) or Benefit (£27).

And according to shoppers, it’s well worth the price. « Best brush in the business, » said one shopper in a review. « It goes on like butter for shiny, healthy lashes. »

The curved brush is designed to capture inner corner baby lashes while simultaneously lengthening the outer lashes. According to Jones Road, the product’s formula has been designed for flexibility and softness.

Both the brush’s shape and the product have been complimented, with customers saying they help lengthen and fluff out their lashes.

« Extraordinary mascara, » said another shopper. « Lifts as well as adding fullness. Love the look of my lashes…But the colour is right on. »

The Mascara only comes in one colour: black. It’s a classic and versatile shade (although it may not be good if you’re in the market for a specific shade to match your hair).

Based on customer reviews, the mascara has received a high score of 4.4 out of a possible five. However, some shoppers have found a couple of downsides.

One person explained: »Too much mascara comes out of the tube, so a lot is wasted. I use an eyebrow brush to remove the excess from my lashes. »

Another complained that the size of the wand is a little too big: « I find the brush too big and so manage to stab myself in the eye each time I use the wand. The wand is also a little too long for me, resulting in black smudges on my nose. »
