Liam Gallagher has sent Oasis fans into a frenzy after teasing a « big announcement » on social media. The Britpop legend has been hinting to fans about the potential of extending their Oasis Live ’25 tour. The tour, which began in July, officially wrapped up in São Paulo, Brazil, on November 23. Oasis fans were recently given the strongest indication of hope yet after Liam posted on X today (02/12/25) the words: « BIG ANNOUNCEMENT IMMINENT. » One follower replied in the comment section, saying, « If this is Oasis-related, the internet will collapse. » A second also typed: « My anxiety does not like the word imminent… just say it already. »

There has been much discussion about the possibility that the band may continue their successful run. When one X user asked if Liam had been « scolded » by anyone for promising that he would « see you next year », Liam admitted he had got “a few tuts and raised eyebrows. »

He then explained that it could mean he’s back on the road with his solo band, rather than Oasis.

Liam told another fan online: “You will see me next year and the year after and so on just not sure yet if it’ll be with Oasis we need to sit down and discuss these things if it was all up to me then you know we’d be touring till the day we die as it’s the best thing in the world but UNFORTUNATELY it’s not.”

An X user recently quizzed Liam: “How do you feel about the tour being almost over, William? All I know is that you guys should definitely be so proud of yourselves for accomplishing a sold-out and flawless world tour after not playing as a band for over a decade, as nobody does it like you. (sic) »

Liam simply replied: “It’s only starting.” What’s more, after an Oasis fan asked why the song The Hindu Times – the lead single from their chart-topping fifth studio album Heathen Chemistry – didn’t make the setlist.

But Liam appeared to suggest the tour would extend beyond the November final date. He said: « Chill Winston it’s not even HALF TIME yet. It’s a tour of 2 halves (sic). »

A few hours later, after he teased fans online with his ‘big announcement, Liam jokingly said: « It’s CHRISTMAS, » and then added in a separate post: « Cmon you f*****s let’s have it. »
