Northern railway has slashed the prices of millions of train tickets to just £2 – but travellers have been urged to act fast as the “flash sale” ends tonight.
The bargain tickets are available on several routes across the North, including journeys from Manchester to Buxton or York to Blackpool. The tickets are priced at £2 for adults and £1 for children, and customers have until 11.59pm on Thursday, October 2, to make their purchases. Alex Hornby, commercial and customer director at Northern, said: « As another Flash Sale draws to a close, we’ve heard some fantastic stories about the bargains that customers have snapped up this time round – from cheap trips to the seaside, to city breaks with friends and family.
“We’re delighted to have been able to offer millions of customers the opportunity to enjoy these moments for less.”
He added: « There are still some great ticket prices starting at £2 to be found, and we’re publishing this list to make them easier to find on the final day of the sale. I’d encourage anybody who hasn’t booked yet to act fast before the Flash Sale closes this evening. »
