Nationwide has delivered an update to members, impacting all of its 605 UK branches. The world’s largest building society boasts more than 16 million members across the country, and sent out emails to them on Friday, November 21.
Part of this correspondence reads: « The days may be getting colder, but you’ll always find a warm welcome at our branches – which are now staying put on the high street for even longer. »
The emails continue: « One of the reasons we are named Which? Banking Brand of the Year 2025 is, unlike many banks, we are committed to keeping our branches open.
« And now, we are extending this promise and all 605 of our branches will remain open until at least the start of 2030, excluding circumstances beyond our control. It means you can keep benefiting from face-to-face banking at our branches across the UK.
« So whether it’s on the high street, in our app or over the phone, you can choose how you would like to bank with us. »
