Marks and Spencer customers are rushing to snap up a pair of jeans that they claim appear ‘smarter’ than typical denim. The M&S bottoms have garnered rave reviews for their ‘sleek’ styling and ‘flattering’ silhouette.

Priced at £38, the M&S Pintuck Wide Leg Ankle Grazer Jeans are available in multiple sizes, leg lengths and shades. Indigo Mix has emerged as shoppers’ favourite hue, being described as the ‘classier looking’ amongst the trio, whilst Black and Medium Indigo prove perfect for daily outfits.

Three length options are on offer – petite, regular and long. With sizes ranging from six through to 24 all available, there’s a fit for everyone.

The M&S Pintuck Wide Leg Ankle Grazer Jeans boast pintuck detailing running down the front for an elegant and contemporary appearance. They feature a flattering ankle-grazer cut, plus a high waistband to accentuate the figure.

To ensure comfort and flexibility, M&S has incorporated a hint of stretch into the cotton-rich denim fabric, reports the Manchester Evening News. Boasting an impressive 4.6 out of five star rating on the website, they’re a current bestseller.

Comparable alternatives available elsewhere include Nobody’s Child’s Blue Mid Rise Carnaby Wide Leg Jeans (reduced to £32 from £79) and New Look’s Blue High Waist Stretch Denim Wide Leg Jeans (£28.99). One delighted M&S customer awarded the jeans five stars, commenting: « Gorgeous pair of trousers – very on-trend. They make for a very sleek and modern look. Fit is great as is the fabric. Fantastic purchase. »

A second customer shared: « Bought the regular size so they fit full length on me as I’m short! These jeans look great dressed up or for casual wear. » A third chimed in with: « Love love these trousers! Sits very well on – looking to get another pair. »

A fourth wrote: « Good quality jeans and lovely colour. Ordered long. » Another shopper expressed: « These jeans are meant to be ankle grazers but I’m only 5’2″ So they are full them on me I love them..got them in denim..both a perfect length and fit. »

However, not everyone was completely satisfied, with one customer giving them four stars due to inconsistent sizing, stating: « Great design. Shape flattering. Sizes mixed and not reliable how can two of the same size be so different? Bought both colours, indigo seem a classier looking colour whilst the black seem ok for everyday wear. Still impressed though! »

Echoing similar sentiments, another wrote: « Really nice wide leg jeans -fit well and hang nicely. I notice they are even wider than the last pair of wide leg jeans I bought from M&S, but I still like them. »

Yet, a five-star reviewer enthused: « I love these jeans so much I have three pairs – two denim and one black. Just a bit smarter than normal jeans. » And another customer added: « Smart jeans, well cut with a stitched crease. I sized up and they fit well. I went for my usual regular length and they’re just above my ankle worn with a low heel boot. Worn twice and two compliments on how good they look. »
