Reports of problems with Metro Bank’s services are now starting to fall, according to the outage tracking site DownDetector.

Earlier this morning, hundreds of customers reported being locked out of their accounts, seeing negative balances, or having their payments duplicated.

But by 11am, the number of new reports had dropped significantly, suggesting the worst of the disruption may now be over.

The bank says it has resolved the issue, though some customers may still see delays while earlier payments are processed.
