This year marks the 30th anniversary of Pierce Brosnan’s debut James Bond movie, GoldenEye.
The 1995 classic was the first 007 film of the post-Cold War era and also marked the beginning of Dame Judi Dench’s tenure as the first female M.
Co-starring Sean Bean as the villainous 006, GoldenEye is easily one of the greatest Bond movies in a meeting of the classic 007 style with a modern twist.
Director Martin Campbell would also go on to reboot Bond again for the post-9/11 world, with Daniel Craig’s Casino Royale.
And now GoldenEye is headed back to UK cinemas in a special 4K presentation.
GoldenEye will be playing in Cineworld, Vue, and Odeon from Friday, October 3, through Global James Bond Day on Sunday, October 5. Internationally, the 007 classic will also screen in Poland’s Multikino, Sweden’s Filmstaden, Mexico’s Cinemex, and the USA’s Alamo Drafthouse.
