Dog dumped in box and left for dead is desperate for home

An adorable pooch who was cruelly abandoned inside a tiny box and left to die in a remote location is desperately seeking a loving home.

Sweet Louie, a mixed breed, was just hours from death without any food or water when his saviour heard his desperate whimpers coming from within a cramped box.

He was found together with two other dogs, who would have met the same dreadful end had they not been discovered just in time.

Despite being rescued, the three year old pup remains overlooked. While his rehoming advertisement has been viewed by hundreds of potential adopters, he has not received a single enquiry.

A statement from his carers at Miracle’s Mission revealed: « Louie was rescued from living in a small box with no food or water. He was crying all the time and was in a terrible state. »

The description adds: « He was also sharing this box with two other dogs! After some TLC Louie turned into a very sweet and energetic little dog.

« He really enjoys the company of people, dogs and even children. He has been up for adoption with the shelter for quite some time but there has been no interest in him, so they asked us to find a home in the UK. »

However, Louie isn’t the only canine to have been overlooked by prospective owners, as Miracle’s Mission reports there has been minimal interest in their smaller male dogs.

In a Facebook post, they revealed: « Sadly we have had no interest in these three little darlings! Hopefully now the summer is over people will turn their minds to adopting again. Please share to help them find homes! »

The charity continued: « Please allow us to introduce Tiny Tim, Louie and Freddy. All are small male dogs looking for homes separately in the UK.

« They are all able bodied, in good health and good with people and dogs. All three are child tested and did well. »

Responding to their post, one user remarked: « Louie, Tiny Tim, and Freddy deserve a loving family. Their stories are heartbreaking but with the right people, they can have a happy ending. »

Another user commented: « How? They are cuties, surprised they haven’t been snapped up already. »

A third user declared: « I will have all three they are beautiful. »

Miracle’s Mission operates as a UK registered animal welfare charity working primarily across the UK, Borneo and Egypt.

Their statement explains: « Our mission is to provide a place of safety for animals in danger, to educate on the needs of neutering both pets and strays and to neuter stray dogs and cats to prevent the birth of more animals onto the streets.

« We also rehabilitate and rehome dogs in need, often with disabilities, from our UK rescue base. »
