Harriet Cowan, who made a name for herself on Clarkson’s Farm, is used to juggling a lot of responsibilities. She previously shared her ambitions of working on a farm full-time, while also keeping up her nursing role.
The 24-year-old was carrying out long hours as a nurse, before changing into her farm gear and getting mucky with the land and animals at her family’s farm.
But now, it seems she may have changed her mind. Harriet now has the ‘bug’ for agriculture and wants to make it her sole career.
It’s all down to her popularity on the Amazon Prime show, which has led to her garnering almost 800,000 followers on TikTokand millions of likes on her posts.
Harriet confirmed that she is “no longer nursing” after earning enough income to focus purely on farming.
She’s also confirmed that this will include a career on YouTube with her channel ‘Harriet On The Farm,’ which she’s previously discussed.
Her videos will include day-in-the-life style vlogs of what she gets up to when she’s on the farm. And her first, highly anticipated, video is set to go live on Sunday, August 31.
Despite her sole focus shifting to farming, however, Harriet did still say that she would be working some NHS shifts .
However, they wouldn’t be “daily” as she has too many other jobs to juggle.
Harriet said: “The cat’s somewhat out of the bag. It’s true, I am no longer nursing because it appears I got the bug. You definitely know what the bug is right, yeah I got the farming bug.
“And I’ve always had it, but before, you know, I didn’t really have any other income. The wait is over, Harriet on the farm is coming your way on the 31st of August.
“I’m going to do bank shifts and I’m still going to be working in the NHS, but yeah, just not daily”.
In a previous TikTok video, Harriet described the popularity she’d found as « insane, » saying she couldn’t « thank people enough » for wanting to « get involved » in her journey.
She shared that if she hit a million followers, she’d « be in shock forever ».
