According to the most recent report by the UK’s top security training provider, Get Licensed, there are 10 areas you’re better off being vigilant in. The City Safety Index has ranked Manchester as the 10th most dangerous city in the UK.

On average, there is a crime rate of 152 per 1,000 people in the northern powerhouse city, but this has greatly improved from the year prior. Meanwhile, the ninth most dangerous city in Britain is Leicester, closely followed by Newcastle upon Tyne, and then Middlesbrough. Ranking as even more dangerous – coming in as the seventh most dangerous area – is Blackpool.

Then the historic city of Bristol has shown an even higher crime rate, marginally less crime-ridden than the London borough of Westminster.

Making it into the top three most dangerous places across Britain is Nottingham. The city’s (NG1 to NG34 postcodes) annual crime rate stands at around 118 per 1,000 people, earning it a place among the top three most dangerous places.

And despite one area’s desirability in the Capital, Islington is the « second least safe place in Great Britain ».

This specifically refers to the post codes N1, N4 to N8, N16 and N19, with robberies and theft being the most reported incidents.

In fact, the area’s statistics for theft and robbery is « three times higher than the national average ». Crime in that area has risen by over 8% year-on-year and reoffending rates are high.

Crowned as the « most dangerous » city in Britain is the London borough of Camden. While Camden is popular with locals and tourists alike, the area is now notorious for incidents of harassment, riots, and violent disorder.

Post codes covering the Camden area – specifically the N1, N6, N7, N19, and NW1 to NW8 – are noted as the most dangerous. And those committing crimes in Camden are highly likely to reoffend again.
