Brian didn’t address that as he posted an image to his grid which showed him delightedly holding He-Man toys, which he revealed had actually belonged to his son Jimmy in the 1980s, he penned: “I have the POWER!!!!” paraphrasing the titular character’s catchphrase.
“Great joy to work tonight on scrumptious brand new HE-MAN movie with (L-R) Director Travis Knight, Composer Daniel Pemberton, and chief sound man Sam Okell – pictured here with our family’s (actually Jimmy’s) vintage He-Man action figure collection from… oooh, about 1986, I guess. What fun!” He continued: “And this movie will make a lot of people smile a lot!!! And – yes – my ol’ Red Special is all over it!!! Watch out!!!”
The film, which is due for release in June 5, featured an all star cast including Nicholas Galitzine in the titular role. He is joined by Riverdale’s Camila Mendes, GLOW star Alison Brie, Rome’s James Purefoy, Deadpool actress Morena Baccarin, Bridesmaids legend Kristen Wiig and recently knighted Idris Elba.
It follows ten-year-old Adam Glenn, Crown Prince of the planet Eternia, who is spirited away to his mother’s home planet Earth, as he flees a civil war.
Twenty years later, the adult Adam must return to Eternia where he becomes He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe, leading the few remaining warriors the planet against the evil forces of Skeletor.

This is not Brian’s first foray into movie music. While he and bandmate Roger Taylor oversaw the soundtrack for the 2018 Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody they had worked on other soundtracks prior to this.
In 1980, along with the rest of his Queen bandmates Brian helped write and record the soundtrack to Flash Gordon, with Brian penning the movie’s theme tune Flash.
Six year’s later in 1986 the band released the music for the film Highlander, which is currently being remade with Henry Cavill in the lead role.
In this instance they eschewed a traditional soundtrack album but instead released the songs on their album A Kind or Magic, which hit shelves on June 2 1986.
