A fresh trailer has now been unveiled for the franchise’s newest chapter ‘Sunrise on the Reaping’ which acts as a follow-up to The Hunger Games: The Ballard of Songbirds and Snakes.
The gripping initial preview has revealed a star-studded ensemble, featuring Mckenna Grace as Maysilee Donner, Ralph Fiennes as President Coriolanus Snow, Elle Fanning as Effie Trinket and Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickerman, the presenter of the Hunger Games, reports the Mirror.
However, one performer has particularly captured viewers’ attention due to their remarkable transformation. Glenn Close will portray Drusilla Sickle who serves as a Hunger Games official.
In the trailer she appears being wheeled out as she declares: « Welcome Panem to the glorious reaping of District 12. »
The actress’s makeover has seen her adopt a cropped ginger bob with vivid red lipstick and dramatic cosmetics.
Discussing her fresh appearance on social media, one fan commented: « Was honestly so confused because she had the aura of Glenn Close but I didn’t recognize her, that makeup is insane! »

Sunrise on the Reaping is a dystopian novel penned by Suzanne Collins, released in 2025. It takes place 24 years prior to the events of The Hunger Games, delving into the world of Panem before Katniss’ unforgettable journey.
The story begins on the morning of the reaping for the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the second quarter quell, featuring a young Haymitch Abernathy.
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is out on November 20, 2026.
