It’s the biggest day of the year for music lovers, and it’s almost here. Spotify has teased the release of its long-awaited Wrapped feature for 2025, urging fans to take action ‘today’.
Throughout the year, the popular streaming app takes into account everything that you listen to – including music and podcasts – and presents them in an interactive slideshow for you to look back on. You’ll be able to see your top artists, songs and genres, as well as some fun insights into your listening habits, if previous years are anything to go by. Here’s everything you need to know about this year’s edition.
When will Spotify Wrapped 2025 be released?
Spotify first started teasing the release of Wrapped last week, in a series of videos posted on social media. And today, they’ve dropped another major hint.
Posting on X, the streaming platform urged fans to ‘Warm up before Wrapped’, saying the feature is ‘on the way soon’.
In previous years, it’s been released on the first Wednesday of December – so many are speculating that it could arrived tomorrow, December 3.
Here’s when the feature became available in previous years:
- 2024: Wednesday, December 4
- 2023: Wednesday, November 29
- 2022: Wednesday, November 30
- 2021: Wednesday, December 1
- 2020: Tuesday, December 1
How to access Spotify Wrapped 2025
According to Spotify, the main thing you’ll need to do if you want to see your Wrapped when it’s available is make sure you’ve got the most up-to-date version of the app on your phone or tablet. Then, all you need to do is open the Spotify app once Wrapped is release, and you’ll be able to see your stats.
Your device may update you automatically, but if not, head to the app store and find the Spotify app on there, before hitting ‘update’. If there’s no option to do this, you have the latest version already.
You should also be able to see your top 100 songs of the year on the desktop app too, but not the slideshow that goes along with it.
Who were the biggest artists of 2025?
2025 has been a huge year for music, and according to Route Note, some of the top artists have included Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran.
When it comes to the songs themselves, Ordinary by Alex Warren takes the top spot, spending 13 weeks as number one in the UK. Messy by Lola Young followed closely behind, with Chappell Roan’s Pink Pony Club and Birds Of A Feather by Billie Eilish also making the top 10 list.
