Cuts in Russian, Saudi Arabian oil production not having major impact on prices

Check out what’s clicking on FoxBusiness.com Cuts in oil production by Russia and Saudi Arabia are not having a major impact on global oil prices, which remain stalled out. Both countries announced extended cuts in their production in an effort to raise oil prices, but the cost of crude oil instead dropped 1% on Monday, according to the Agence France-Presse. Nevertheless, Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman emphasized that his country’s partnership with Russia remains strong in a press conference earlier this week. “Part of what we have done with the help of our colleagues from Russia was also to mitigate the cynical side of the spectators on what is going on between Saudi and Russia on that specific matter,” Abdulaziz said of the oil cut...

Record number of Americans expected to travel this 4th of July: AAA

Despite inflation, many Americans expect to make up for lost trips this Independence Day weekend. Around 50.7 million Americans are projected to travel 50 or more miles from home this 4th of July weekend, according to a report by AAA. Those travel metrics would break the previous Independence Day weekend record set in 2019 of 49 million travelers, AAA said.  “We’ve never projected travel numbers this high for Independence Day weekend,” AAA Senior Vice President Paula Twidale said in a statement. “What this tells us is that despite inventory being limited and some prices 50% higher, consumers are not cutting back on travel this summer. Many of them heeded our advice and booked early, another sign of strong travel demand.” In particular, 2.1 million ...

Competitive salaries are a key worry, with companies concluding younger workers think larger firms can offer them higher wages and more perks.  Yet, with businesses clearly needing to bring in this age group for the health and future of their ventures, how do they highlight their attractions cost-effectively? Barclays has ...
