A flight attendant has shared the budget-friendly places you should consider adding to your 2026 travel list.
Liz, who is known as lizzyfromtheblock99 on social media, works as an air hostess and has travelled to various locations across the world as part of her job.
However, there are a few that have stuck out in her mind as ‘hotspots’ — and she recommends people visit them if they’re still undecided about their 2026 getaway.

She starts off her list with Bosnia and Herzegovina, a country on the Balkan Peninsula in southeastern Europe.
It is known for its medieval villages, rivers, lakes, and the craggy Dinaric Alps, with some of its main attractions including the Kravica Waterfall, Old Bridge Mostar, Blagaj Tekija, and Apparition Hill.
Next, she shared how South Africa has a special place in her heart due to its natural beauty and national parks.
Following on from this, she says the Azores, an autonomous region of Portugal, are well worth a visit, especially for their dramatic landscapes filled with blue hydrangeas.
Its top tourist attractions include the Gorreana Tea Factory, the waterfalls at Cascata da Ribeira dos Caldeirões, and the botanical garden at Jardim Botânico António Borges.
She also recommends visiting major cities in Portugal such as Lisbon, Porto, and Coimbra while you’re in the area.
If you’re interested in a beach-style holiday, then she says the French Riviera is a go-to, allowing you to relax while taking in breathtaking views.
Finally, she says Honduras, a country in Central America, makes for a memorable holiday thanks to the tropical rainforest near Guatemala and the ancient Mayan ceremonial site of Copán.
